station "stutters" in newly designed Shoutcast player
 

Hi all -

My station used to play perfectly before Shoutcast upgraded the website.

Now it stutters constantly, which it does not do when connected using the links on my website. Only through the Flash-based player.

and on a related note, what is up with the format listings for classical? now they are filled with classic rock, classic country, etc. when you click on the main genre heading for "Classical".

...sigh...

Stuttering is caused by how the embedded player handles the intro file. Options include...

1) Ditch the intro file (my personal recommendation)
2) Fix it so that it matches bitrate/samplerate of stream and hope it makes the flash player happy
3) Live with it and move on

Can't answer the Genre search thing, other than to say the whole Shoutcast project is a work-in-progress at the moment.
