Winamp & Shoutcast Forums - Winamp crashes if connecting/-ed WinMob 6.1 device (msvcr90.dll)

hey guys!

I'm using Winamp for years now and always was a content user.

Now after installing Winamp 5.581 (first installing over existing previous version, then making a clean install), it crashes everytime I connect my Win Mob 6.1 device (Samsung Omnia mobile phone, if this info is of any help) and the media library tries to get the media on the phone.

Then you can only close it without any result and winamp closes itself.

The more detailed error message is (taken from Windows Vista Eventmonitor):

I already searched the web (yes, google is my friend) and several boards and found some similar problems concerning msvcr90.dll but none of the hints and workarounds helped (such as "delete the file x", "delete file y", "reinstall winamp after deleting it completely", and so on...)

Also the hints given in a sticky thread here in winamp forums don't help.

I noticed, that at the time, when winamp recognizes my WinMob device (connected successfully in Windows Vista device center - what was at XP times the ActiveSync - mode) the very first time, it didn't crash. But it also didn't find any of my mp3 files on the phone, cause the path for music at "preferences/advanced options for mobile device" was set on "interner speicher/music" by default instead of the correct "interner speicher/Musik" path. Most interesting is, that it wasn't set to the default I expected ("internal memory/music" or "internal storage/music").
Changing it into the right path, causing Winamp to crash again even if restarting it 10 times and trying it again.

Also changing the path on the WinMob device into the default path in Winamp ("interner speicher/music") doesn't help, it then crashes again if you rest this path also in Winamp.

As I said, reinstalling Winamp didn't help.

Connecting the mobile device in USB-Mode (for external memory) does work without any problems and Winamp finds every mp3 without crashing.

What's the problem?
How to solve it? In recent Winamp versions it worked perfectly!

Don't want to switch my mobile device every time from "ActiveSync/WinDevice manager - Mode" to "USB mode" depending on if I wanna sync it with Outlook or copy mp3s.
