How do you get Winamp to work with Sony Walkman X1060?

Winamp USB Device support does not detect it?

In my w995 Walkman mobile, I can set the device to act like a USB mass storage, then I can manage it with Winamp's USB plugin.

No it doesn't detect it at all.

What can I do?

have you tried http://sourceforge.net/projects/mlsony/files/ ? is the only sony supporting plug-in that i'm aware off though i don't believe it integrates with Winamp's portables support and also no idea if it is even suitable with recent Winamp clients. if that doesn't work then i don't think there is much else which can be done.

I put the suggested dll file in the Winamp\Plugins folder but Winamp crashes everytime it is started so I had to delete it.

was worth a try and i did say i wasn't sure if it would work with recent clients (the changes in cvs for it indicated it may have been more compatible with newer clients but obviously not from what you've seen).
