Winamp Pro Free Updates?

Okay, so this is probably a dumb question, but it seems like Winamp has a new update every two weeks. It's never really bothered me, but if I purchase Winamp Pro, are those updates included? Also, will my purchase cover the next version of Winamp (6?). Finally, can I use the same registration for multiple installs as I have more then one computer.

Thank you!

Hi

There were actually about 5 months inbetween 5.581 and 5.6 release....
Winamp 5.601 was just a 5.6 maintenance release.

Purchasing a Winamp Pro license entitles you to all 5.x upgrades for free

And "Yes" to your last question.

So, my WinAmp 5.x license is only good for that? If WinAmp 6 comes I assume I have to purchase a new license or is it a lifetime license?

Thanks!

Considering Winamp 5.0 was released in 2003 and 5.6 was just released, your license would be good for at least another half-decade, at which point I'm sure there will be a licensing upgrade option for 6.x, which will, in turn, probably be good for another 15 years or so ;)

no one knows what would happen if / when a 6.x is released.

Winamp 6 will have no buttons on the GUI, just displayed information. There will be no need for. You will just think about music and an appropriate song will play with a visualization that is well-matched, with seamless automated key/tempo matching transitions during each song change.

The included upgrade to Shoutcast will be able to stream live feeds from alien planets.

The demo file will include a lifelike 3D video of a llama getting struck in the ass by the Winamp lightning bolt.

It will have microphone support where you can hum a few bars of a song and it will name it and play it.

What else am I missing?
