connection timed out..whats wrong

Hi,

im new around here and I have some problems setting up my radio station.
I've downloaded and inslalled the SHOUTcast DNAS 1.9.8 sever (the GUI version) and the SHOUTcast DSP Plug-In for Winamp. I 've modified the password field , the source Ip which i put at 127.0.0.1 and at the destination Ip since i have a dinamic Ip address the field was left to ANY. I've started the server ,ive put the encoder to AAC+ at a 48kb/s.At the connection tab the adrres is localhost since im streaming from this computer the port is 8000 the password is the one i chose in the conf files.
SO far so good,i put some mp3's in the winamp playlist and it connects to the server without problems, but when i test it on my laptop( press ctrl+L on winamp and introduce the current sever IP(witch is dynamic)and the port number) it says connecting for a while and the connection timed out:|....and i also distabled my firewalls on both PC's.

Something wrong ?! Please help me. Thanks you very much!

Please describe your network topology:
  • Are you using any routers or modems with built-in routers. If you have more than one please describe them and how they are connected.
  • Are you trying to test (listen) to your stream from the same computer as the DNAS or from another computer on your LAN.
  • If using router(s), do you know if it/they support local loopbacks.

More likely than not, it sounds like you're behind a router and it does not support local loopbacks. Instead, when trying to make a client listening connection (to test) connect to either http://localhost:8000 if testing from the same machine the DNAS is running on or to http://ip-address-of-LAN-adapter-DNAS-is-running-on:8000 if trying to test from another computer on the same LAN as the DNAS hosting machine.

Im using D-link D-655 wireless router to connect with my laptop and it does support local loopbacks. Ive also tested the radio at the server PC and it says it's active but when I try to connect from my laptop using this time 192.168.0.1(the WLAN addapter's IP).,.....same problem:|..any other suggestions?
