any tutorial how to install transcoder
 

ive read the documentation on the file but its not really helpful so was wondering if anyone could help me how to install the transcoder on my server step by step? i tried to install it many tijmes but failed so appreciate it if anyone can post a tutorial for this

not really helpful imo since i run a linux server

No actually it still is helpful even for Linux computers because:

• All you have to do is translate the default install locations for the Windows version installers to the install location you selected when you extracted the SHOUTcast tool archives.
• The config_builder has a fully compatible and tested Linux/Unix mode.

Just extract both sc_serv and sc_trans archives to any place you feel comfortable with and go from there.

can you explain more so what you mean by that please.

are you trying to run the config builder via the server ip? (that's the only thing i can think off which would cause an attempt to provide the stream data in the browser from what you've posted).

yeah i tried to do that but was silly, uploaded to one of my domain now and figured it out although pm sent you the config settup that i took backup from the config_builder since im not exactly sure how to figure it out how to create a playlist to allow users to upload songs onto ftp and let it play on schedule and even how does a live dj take it over and any access on the transcoder?
