Winamps won't play at all! I deleted winamp.ini, no go,I'm Thinkin' about havin' a look at plugin.ini(gonna copy a plugin.bak)
It's lookin like a reinstall. omputer seems fine.

Winamp Running again. But line recording doesn't work. I downloaded the "Line-in Plug-in v1.0 beta(IN_MIC.DLL)", & tried "Linein://srate=44.1,bps=16,nch=2.(& Linerec://)
Then I closed Winamp & my line-in is still going. I have a soundblaster16 comes with CreativeMixer. How do I switch it to "map" into the input?

http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif I GOT LINE IN TO RECORD TO WAV & MP3! http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Here's How:

1) Download Input Plug-in: "Line-in Plug-in v1.0 beta(IN_MIC.DLL)" & install.
2) select Play>Location> & type: "Linein://srate=44.1,bps=16,nch=2"(for 44.1k 16kb/s stereo)(there are several options, see other postings on this topic.)
3) Close & Restart Winamp. A "linein.m3u" playlist-file will be created by the plug-in.
4) Go to Options>preferences>output> & select Nullsoft DiskWriterOut(OUT_DISK.DLL)(.wav) OR Nullsoft Mp3Output(OUTMP3.DLL)(.mp3)
5) Open Playlist in Winamp subdirectory: ("linein.m3u")
6) Press Play & your recording LineIn.
(remember to switch output back after.)

Wouldn't it be simpler to use the normal windows recording for the line in, and then encode using some other software, or the normal winamp encoder??
