Global hotkeys not global
Hi all. I recently did a few things -
Upgraded to W7 from Vista Upgraded to the latest version of Winamp I am now unable to use Global Hotkeys anywhere beyond when Winamp or Windows Explorer are the active programs/processes. When inside a browser, ie. Firefox, or a game, the hotkeys don't respond. I have a Logitech keyboard that has worked previously with this. I had that pointer keyboard program as well, but uninstalled it because it doesn't seem to do much for me and wasn't installed when things were working. Any ideas? Thanks |
global hotkeys?
Are you talking about the "play" "pause" "forward" "backward" buttons on the keyboard?
I ask because I noticed that on my logitech keyboard, those keys don't control Winamp, and don't seem to do anything at all. I just upgraded to Winamp from iTunes, those keys controlled iTunes just fine. I wondered if I'm having the same problem you described. I'm using Win 7 Ultimate, and Winamp 5.61 If so, did you ever find a solution? |
I was actually trying to use the numpad. Thinking the numpad may've been the problem, I tried normal letter keys as well, but to no avail. My media control keys share buttons with F1-12, so they're not the most convenient to bind to. Still haven't figured it out.
