Getting msg there are xxx files already on the device which are not in the local"...

When I start the wifi sync with my phone, it first says "there are xxx files already on the device which are not in the local media library" - all files which were just synced. I select the option to delete the files from the device and continue the sync. However, the next time I sync, it gives the same message - thus deleting the files Winamp just put onto the device the last time a synced it.

I'm using Winamp 5.61 (x86) on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. My phone is an HTC Thunderbolt with Android 2.2, running Winamp app 1.0.3.

Maybe unrelated or not, but when I start the sync, it only syncs about 20 to 30 songs before the sync just stops for no known reason. The "transfers" panel under "devices", where it was originally showing 700 songs or so queued up to be transfered, is then empty. There's no error message that I can see. I can restart the sync, but I get the message described in paragraph 1 above, and Winamp deleted the songs from the device that it just synced, and the process starts over.

I've seen people post about this problem in numerous places on the boards here, but there's never a solution listed. Is there any solution?

Thank you

Just wondering if anyone at Winamp would mind replying to my post, even if it's just "we know about it and we're working on it", or "we have no intention of helping you because you didn't buy winamp pro", or "this is the only time we've ever heard of this so you must be computer illiterate". Thanks.

I guess the solution is to uninstall Winamp and find another player.

I'm trying out the Amazon Cloud Player now, seems pretty cool. Can't wait to try out the new Google Music too, was just announced today.

Same problem here

This is really frustrating. I get the same problem.
I find though this only happens with wireless sync.

I would use wired sync but that has a slew of other issues - such as incredibly slow syncing/transcoding (seems to want to transcode, copy to sd, make a copy (tmp) on sd, transcode again REALLY REALLY SLOWLY, and then delete the tmp copy leaving the original file... wtBEEP?!!).

I have been fiddling with the sync thing for a few weeks now... adding and deleting 4-6gb of files - every time a pain in the... Back and forth between wired and wireless.

It seem except for this constant deleting issue, everything should work almost perfect.

I have also discovered WinAmp sync is too picky about folder and file names. I have had to manually rename many folders and update a lot of metadata to get songs to transfer... otherwise they just sit there and hang. Would be nice if the software would include some error reporting so the user can know what is going on.

And to follow the rules so hopefully this gets followed up:

Asus M2N-e
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+
onboard sound
ATI Radeon HD5570
Windows 7 x64 Home
DirectX 11
Winamp 5.6, Lite

Android Device
Nexus One - Android 2.3.3

Seriously?
Am going to try this again sometime this week, using the update selected playlists only (after I create a custom playlist of all my 3-stars or better rated songs).
