Replaygain APEv2 ou ID3v2
 

Hi all,

I'm trying mp3gain and I'm wondering if i should use APEv2 or ID3v2 tags when mp3gain update tags.
I want to specify applyreplaygain=1 in the transcoder configuration

My version, which is probably old, doesn't give me any options. I believe it uses the ID3v2 tags. I've never had any issues going that route.

Because mp3gain writes tags in APEv2 format by default...

Do you know if sc_tans apply APE replaygain information ...?

you seem to be flipping between mp3gain and replay gain in your posts.

sc_trans only supports replay gain, not mp3gain (which i thought is applied directly to the mp3 data rather than replay gain which is just an adjustment value).

finally, APEv2 tags are not supported by sc_trans, only those specifed here
