Playlists: Look & Columns
Hi
I wanted to ask if you could look at and amend the following. I have some playlists which I sync with my winamp & mobile. 1) Under Winamp Under the "Playlists" only shows two columns as per the following screen shot (File name & time) http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/9934/26492374.jpg 2) However, under my mobile the same synced "Playlist" shows a tidier easier to amend set of columns "Artist", "Title", "album", "Time" etc. This is excellent... much better than the last one. http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/6947/22639168.jpg I really prefer the second look, is there any way you can add it in the next release have it that the Playlists under Winamp show more than one column. It will make management a lot easier. Hopefully it will not require a big change. thx, and much appreciated if you can add this. rgds |
the second image is a query view rather than a playlist view (which the playlists view has no knowledge about so wouldn't be too simple a change).
you can manually re-create a query view for playlists by specifying the filepath as part of the query (assuming the files are in the library). -daz |

It's be easier and better if in the "Playlist" under winamp in my first screen was like as under the second screenshot. I think it would make management a lot easier of playlists. |
the portables view of the playlist on the device is internally done as a query i.e. just like the main library views are done. hence the suggestion to do the same via the library to get a similar view instead of using the playlists plug-in (which was always only ever intended to be just a vague ml version of the main playlist editor and to act as a playlist repository).
there's nothing stopping someone making their own ml_playlists to do the same, but either way it requires someone to do some coding if it was even to be considered at a native level. -daz |
okay, thx. I'm not a coder sadly. So hopefully someone can come up with one, or hope your fellow developers can look into it for a future release.
Would be great especially as many of us use playlists heavily. |
