Disable RSS-Feed with WinAmp

Hello,

how can I disable the file-association for RSS-Feeds with Winamp 5.621?
I have reinstalled Winamp without the CheckBox "Podcast directory" but still Winamp opens when I click an RSS-Feed in Firefox 6.0.2

I want to open and save RSS with Outlook like before.

Thank.

frank

Hi. At a guess, change Podcast & Web Feed accordingly in: Firefox > Options > Applications

Nope, in Firefox it is not possible to correct it, it is in the Windows Registry, it is a Bug in Winamp.
When uninstalling or reinstalling Winamp, the RSS-file association in the registry is not unset, or (much better) set to the previous value, when Winamp set it before because of CheckBox Podcast enabled.

A solution is to set it manually in:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\feed\shell\open\command

I use to uncheck all those annoying CheckBoxes like Podcast, Browser Plugin or external Media, but I forgot the Podcast on the last update.

Hmm, interesting. I'll look into it...
