Missing meta tags
 

Hi

I am using a Huawei U8800 with Android version 2.3.5.

So I have these folders with artist names and inside these folders the CD name and inside of them again the tracks. I was hoping that Winamp would be able to show the folders correctly. As in make a good guess that the top layer contains the artist -> CD name -> CD tracks. Since the meta tags are not created.

Right now I have a bunch of CDs and tracks inside a huge Unknown artist folder.
The question is how do I do house keeping with the music folders?

don't conflate tags and meta data with folder names and filenames.

what kind of files are these? the easiest thing to do most likely is to tag them, like say id3v2.3 for mp3s.

mp3tag can do this for you from your filename/folder name conventions.
