Media Library Sort
I've searched for help on this, but didn't find what I was looking for.
Is there a setting to make Winamp sort the Media Library the same way that Windows sorts folders? For example, if I had only three folders, Windows would sort them like this: Jimmy Buffett Lynyrd Skynyrd The Beatles But, Winamp Media Library sorts them like this: The Beatles Jimmy Buffett Lynyrd Skynyrd Winamp ignores the word "The" in it's sorts. Is there a way to make Winamp sort in the same order as windows? Thanks :-) |
i don't think so. i have asked that they expose that in prefs, so the user could list all, or none, of the articles they want ignored, such as:
the el la las le les a de and so on. it would be nice to let the users specify what articles to ignore or not. |
all the "the" is like if it didnt exist; for example "the Beatles" will appear with all "B" bands/artists and not with all the "T" band/artists

it is really annoying that one can't choose preferred sort order, there should be an checkbox to use plain ASCII sort, and eventually a list of ignored articles (as that varies from language to language)
