I've installed Winamp 2.64, then 2.65, and now 2.7.
I can't play WMA files. When I try to play, Winamp open de file, print the title, but don't play the music, and there is no cursor in the time bar.

Anyone have an idea ?

It's not exactly the same problem : when I play WMA, it's NOT show it's playing. It's like there is no file loaded (same as when you start Winamp).

.WMA mystery

OK, I'm brand spanking new to this, I have a problem, I search the FAQ and "online help" I then look on this board. The problem I'm having doesnt seem to want to be answered!

I have downloaded 3 songs...two are .mp3 and the other is .WMA.......It wont play the .WMA...I have selected in prefrences, followed instructions...and no luck!

Why wont it play my .WMA???? ARAAAGHHH <ahem>

Oh yes, it shows in the play list with its extension (.WMA) whereas the .mp3 ones are shown with the band name and song title...its as if the .WMA isnt opening...help please :)

I have exactly the same problem, and I have no response since 1 month ...

I've tried other soft (Sonique, Napster ...) and they don't play WMA too.
And Nero 5.0 give me an error when I try to transform WMA to MP3, or to make an audio CD from WMA.

The only soft which play WMA is Windows Media Player !!!

It's probably an incompatibility with a system DLL, but none on this forum seems to have the solution !

Always the way eh Chris! lol
Looks like I'll have to stay clear of .WMA...does your windows media player play any at all? In conjunction with Winamp?

Windows Media Player have no problem. But it's a very big program (slow, use a lot of memory, cpu ...)
