[SPLIT] Need to re-create authhash for a stream as authhash no longer valid
I have installed Shoutcaster2 onto a new linux server. I can run the server but do not get the option to create a hask key. I get Update or delete, but no create.
I have chmod'ed all the directories to 777 and the server is being run as root, so I should have all the permissions I need. How can I get it to give me this option? Error Code: 464. "Authhash could not be found or removed" I have looked at this with IE & Chrome so I do not think this is a browser issue. Tony |
then that means you've already got something which the DNAS thinks is an authhash specified in the configuration file being used - hence no 'create' option. so that can be either from having a valid authhash or one which was in the system and was then removed in the periodic cleanup that is done or you've just got rubbish entered for it.
if this was just a moving of the server then your previous authhash is fine to use (it would just be that you're not able to edit things) assuming you've still got it and it's known to the system. if not, just manually remove the streamauthhash line from your configuration file, restart the DNAS and that should then provide the create option. and the messages are vague on purpose so as to prevent people trying to hack the system / easily find out other people's authhash to be able to hijack their listings. -daz |
Thanks that worked. I deleted the line from the conf file and restarted and it all worked.
