auto dj keeps shutting off
 

At the beginning of running Centovacast v3. It was working fine... now all of a sudden auto DJ just up and stops.

Have check all the logs, and it doesnt show any errors or nothing like that. Doesnt even show that Auto DJ was dropped.

Any reason why it might be doing this?

there are 2 main threads about this on the Centova forum and when i've next got time allocated to working on sc_trans i will then be attempting to look into the issue (tentatively that'll be some point next week - though that may slip to later than that).

i assume you're one of the handful of people who've already posted in the Centova threads about this or are you someone else who just happens to be using Centova 3 ? (which is still not a stable product just like sc_trans)

In my test server is configured this way:

Linux CentOS 5.8 i386
Apache 2
MySQL 5.0.95
phpMyAdmin 2.11.11.3
Centovacast v3.0.0rc1
shoutcast2 --sctrans2

What happens is that the AutoDJ definitely for no reason and intermittent hours, there is no standard music to understand it, it works about 10, 20, 30, 40 minutes and intermittently.

When we Centovacast it on the dashboard of information is that the season is still going on and when the page appears Shoutcast Admin page not found, sometimes when we click on the START panel Centovacast yes give him back the ring and the Shoutcast Admin page reappears again.

If you do nothing, after about 5 minutes the audio automatically back exactly where it was stopped, this is very strange.


This is the symptom.

Me and some people are experiencing this problem and according to Steve (Centova) this is a problem of sc_trans and he can do nothing.

By this I am here asking for your help.

Have sent you a message on the forum offline la Centova data from my ssh server for you to look at what is really happening.

posting on here and on Centova's forums is not going to get me looking into the issue any sooner as my time is shared on other projects.

when i have time allocated (as i've quoted in my reply) then i will attempt to look into the issue. though me logging into the machine is unlikely to do much as i have no idea how compatible a test version of sc_trans would be compared to what Centova configures.

which is what i said and is why Steve is re-iterating what i said as you (gutoeterno i assume) don't seem to pay attention to what people are putting in their replies.

also you really didn't need to post on here as well when i've already acknowledged things on the Centova forum (has just wasted some of my time in having to do additional replies).


so _when_ i have time allocated i will attempt to look into the issue. but don't pester or keep asking for updates / progress as that will not make me want to get the time allocated for the issue.
