Using SC-Trans to Transcode

I have a Linux server with a sc_serv running and taking in an MP3 stream from a my "production" server.

I want to use sc_trans to "Listen" to this server and take in the MP3 stream and output an AAC streams to another sc_serv on the same machine on another port. Like take in on 8000 and output on 9000.

How do I get sc_trans to take in the mp3 stream?

Do I have to put the url of the mp3 stream into a file and call it a playlist?

you'd need to use a relay event -> http://wiki.winamp.com/wiki/SHOUTcas...n#Relay_Events to pull from the mp3 stream.
