i get message above and it never finishes, and no authhash is created. Cba someone please help. :cry:

try accessing 64.12.96.225 in a web browser from the machine running the DNAS (if possible) as it could be it's being blocked (which would explain it trying to re-connect).

though the fact it's showing 64.12.96.225 makes me wonder if you've changed the ypaddr configuration option (and if so what has made you do that ?)

i changed it when it was constantly failing as that ip was mentioned in one of your stickie topics, to see if that would help but still nothing. :(

i have checked iptables and no ips are blocked.

i remove the ypaddr line and now as i expected i get.

Thanks that great, but sadly still getting the same error in logs. :( and station does not appear in listings.

spoken to hoster nothing is blocked, also when trying to connect with server set to public i get a login box for REALM (null)

i really don't know then. as the error implies something is messing with the network connection but is not something i've ever come across before.

other than trying yp2=0 in the configuration (which i doubt will have any effect), there's no bans or anything like that on our side against the IP you provided in PM.


the login box sounds like you're trying to connect to the stream with VLC? if so then that's normal as the DNAS will not allow listeners if it's been told to list itself and cannot do that (hence it's in an illegal state and so blocks listeners connections).

ok makes sense will try them 2 later today, it a shame i have been a shoutcast user for years and never ad issues before :) if u need any testing of dev build done just drop me a mail i will happily test them for you :)

As we expected still getting same line in log files so for now i have set server to public=never until we can work out what is causing the network block, i am assuming it cant be fact its a VPS will multiple IP address's as listeners can connect just fine, cause i did spot this in log file not sure if it could be related:
