lyrics metadata
 

Im broadcasting mp3 from sam broadcaster, all of these mp3 has lyrics on their metadata. Problem is i can't retrieve the lyrics from the stream file and im trying to extract it from the streaming application i'm doing. Metadata shows it doesn't have lyrics. Any specific setting for sc_trans or sc_serv to include lyrics in the metadata of streaming file.

sc_trans and sc_serv (am assuming v2) will only provide what the source is able to provide it in the metadata updates. so unless SAM is providing the lyrics (which we have spec'd out as being supported but is not a recommended field to provide due to the overhead on stream metadata it generates), then there's not much you can do.

im connecting to shoutcast as DJ in legacy v1 mode. Is that supported? Can't connect to shoutcast if im trying to connect in v2 DJ mode

the extra metadata spec is not supported in legacy mode at all.
