Right now I'm starting to get pissed of with Morpheus.

Since I started using it, every now and then I get a pop-up add while Morpheus is open.

It really got to me just now.
I'm on a wireless broadband connection with a dish.
One of these stupid adds just popped up on my desktop.
No browser open, just Winamp running.
This never happened b4 Morpheus.

there is a pretty simple reason why people who are american but of primarily african descent give thier children"wierd"names.in a word,identity.
it doese'nt take a sociologist too tell you,though i'm sure one would tell you,that afroamericans give thier children names like this because ,although ,admittedly as an aforamerican myself,i can say some of the names are out there,and i have often wondered the same think from time to time,"what were his/her parents thinking?".
the reason is basically an ongoing need to identify with our roots,and thuogh it may sound trite,it is a major part of the phenomenon,as you seems to view it.
through slavery(yes it was real and this country and all of it's people bare it's scars,whatever race),"jim crow"laws,which kept the "freed" slaves "in thier place",and other various mahinations of the american caucasean,the afroamerican lost the connection with thier cultures and religions from centuires gone by.
most european descended american living today,and dare i say even imigrants,could easily,comparitivly,trace thier family tree back to thier"motherland"and aquire family names,crests,colors and histories,but afroamericans have the unusual distiction in this country of being cut offf from thier"motherland"for hundreds of years.
it's not that easy to trace your family tree when you don't have artifacts or antiques in your family,like a lot of folks do,to mark the passing of time of the family tree.
another part of the reason for the"ghetto names" is that we as a people ,needed to align ourselves with our"motherland",which we have found out recently is the motherland of us all,like it or not,and one of the easist and most accessable means to do this,was to give the children of the community,what they thought to be african SOUNDING names.Names with an african feel and of course an american twist.
needing to have unique sounding names is a direct product of the civil rights movement,for the most part and frankly is a part of the neo afroamerican experience and culture.
I hope this clears up the "mystery" of "ghetto names"

moselyharoldjr, i meant no offense with the ghetto names comment. that was made a long time ago, when i was immature (and used the ocelot312 username). i do think tho, that if you decide to name a child a name that is not considered 'normal', you should know what the name means in its native language. i think its wrong to name a child with an unconventional name just because it sounds cool. thats a curse that child will have to deal with for the rest of his/her life. and i'm not singling out african american people at all. i have a cousin named Azela, and i dont think thats appropriate.

Know what I REALLY hate right now, Is that EVERY fucking mall and retail shop closes early on Sunday nights. WHY THE FUCK IS THAT?!?! What the fuck makes Sunday so goddamn different than any other day? Why can't they close early on Monday? WHAT THE FUCK?!

You are so sweet John! Anyway, I got it fixed earlier today. There were 2 things wrong. #1 There was a finger skateboard stuck in the hose and #2 I needed a new belt. I cleaned it all out, and it is now perfoming wonderfully.

i hate vacuums. once, my mom snapped (at least i thought it was snapped) a belt. so i open it, put a new one on, close it up, and she goes back to vacuuming. 5 minutes later she calls me back and THAT belt was broke. i took a close look at it and it appeared that the motor spun and wore throught the damn thing. there was soooooo much crap in there that the beater bar couldn't turn. :mad: and on the same vac, i've had to duct tape the cord numerous times cus it keeps wearing through
