I hate the police too.
Two in the morning, I'm driving strait, 3 miles-per-hour under the speed limit, I use turn-signals in all the approprate places, and I come to a complete stop when I need to stop. And then I'm then pulled over for my tag lights being out. I got home 2 minutes after I was pulled over and I checked the tag lights and they were working perfectly fine. The fag just wanted to pull me over. Missy, this is for you...subsitute the desired states if needed. http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....136#post376136 <edit>changed the link so it would work</edit> |

The freeway workers here in London have to work 24/7 (obviously in shifts, otherwise they'd be getting a little tired :D)
The M25 is the busiest motorway in Europe, and any roadworks cause long delays, so they tend to get any work done *very* quickly. Which is nice. |
I hate it when nearly classic threads sink into oblivion...

I hate, & I repeat,
I HATE Hot Beer. Wait, Wait, NO BEER! LIES. People who think there better than everyone else. Being sick. (You'd think if I didn't drink beer I could avoid that one...... Oh well.) A couple of my ex-girlfriends. (Bitches) Rerun movies that come on TV every 2 weeks. Being Broke! |
I hate threads that are so long it takes you 20 minutes to get to the last page, but are so classic and funny that you cant help but read them.
I hate the fact that people fight in this forum. ~ Missy |
I hate myself for being so damned lazy.

i hate the fact that i can't understand girls at all
DAMNIT |
Are you sure it is that the girls do not understand you?
Or maybe you are gay? |
hmmm, my female friends seem to have a fairly good grasp about me (not in that way all you ppl w/ sick, sick minds, sadly)
and i can give the "am i gay" question a VERY categorical NO |
/me hates it when me feet fail me and me fall down and go boom
:D |
i hate it that i have more female FRIENDS than i can keep track of, but no girlfriend.
|
ill second that!!!

This is something that has puzzled me all my life. I always had more female friends than male friends. I could go out with them, have a good time, but end up alone. Then whenever I did have a girlfriend, she was always intimidated by all my girl friends. And usually got jealous, which turned me off. Even after I let the girlfriend know she was the one and only. The others were just friends. Frustrating. |
i have several close female friends
everyone assumes i'm going out w/ one of them thus, all girls think i already have a girlfriend and i don't (i think) |
YOu should set the record straight then.
|
Today I'm really disliking whiners and crybabys.
And I'm REALLY disliking jealousy. Period. |
STUFF I HATE
Trying to keep this short and sweet:
[rant] - Kids who are allowed to watch movies rated 18, listen to music full of bad language, drug references and violence/hate. Why do parents think it's OK? Those movies are rated 18 for good reasons. Little kids should not be running around swearing and being violent. Number one point of hatred! - Over-exaggeration. Example "The irate Jackson said..." when in reality he was just a little annoyed. - The UK tabloid press. See above. - People with superiority complexes with no basis: they think they're better than you (how is it possible for one person to be 'better' than another? :() because they like a different type of music, or have a better grasp of English. I can't claim to hate anything else, or it would be contradicting point number 2. However, I do dislike these: - Bastardization of teh inglish langwidge; diliberut mispelingz; 1337. - People who only use copied software on their PCs. Their non-payment for it means the software companies charge more for their stuff! Freeware is great, but I really disapprove of theft. Another rant over. [/rant] |

For example take the Nintendo 64 - it's exceedingly difficult and expensive to pirate the carts, and hence the prices in the shops are artificially high (due to the monopoly they have - you can't exactly buy a playstation game and play it in your N64) |
My PHP assignment. Just how do you query a mysql database use a nested for loop to display it but when you get to one particular column run another query and display the results of that second query?
|
I hate my CDRW drive.
|
I hate trying to get a good night's sleep and it gets interrupted and cut short by phone calls, people coming over, girlfriend pounding on my window, grandmother blaring the TV, etc.
|
I hate my mom at the moment.
I come home from kicking down doors, pulling up carpet, and scraping asbestos tiles off the floor of the church hall and ask for something to eat. She snaps at me "hey, it's quarter to nine! you can have a little snack, but that's it". I said "I'm frickin hungry and had a slice of pizza for dinner. Need more." She said, "God forbid you did some work!" Like she would ever get down of her knees, to pull up carpet just to find another asbestos-laden layer of tile, and then to take out the doorjambs and take out the old room dividers solely by kicking it (it was fun, actually). And she thought I wasn't hungry and I was just faking it. So I sit down to watch some TV. "Hey, go upstairs. you still have homework to do!" Ok, so I just came from the aforementioned job, which saved us $1000 by doing it ourselves, and was sore from head to toe. I was chiseling asbestos vinyl, had a sore throat, even with the mask, had calluses on my hands and she didn't even let me sit down and relax for even a few minutes before starting my homework!!! Her workaholic attitude is seriously pissing me off. Any time she sees my sitting around relaxing, she immediaely assumes that I didn't do my homework yet and tells me to go do it. GOD FORBID I TRY TO RELAX SOMETIMES!!!!!!! And she's mever worked that hard in her life. I'm always the one cleaning the gutters, fixing shelves, mailing things, etc, whle sits there reading. SHE'S RELAXING! OMGOMGOMG CALL THE NEWSPAPER!!!@ Just because I'm the oldest of 4 kids (), she makes me do all of the work while all the others just sit on their asses in front of the TV. My sister gets her food and stuff made for her while she sits there, and I have made french bread pizza for myself every day for the past 5 days now. Just because my sister's a fat little bitch, does that mean that she gets everything she wants?!???? *sigh* :( If I didn't have you guys to talk to, well, I'd probably have gone on a murderous rampage by now. Thank you :);) |

It's always been that way with Nintendo. Remember when Donkey Kong Country was released for the SNES? Over here, it sold for £60!!!!; That's about $100! Funking Hell! Who agrees with the first part of my previous rant? |
Oh yeah, and I was only doing all that because my dad is the boss of construction at a certain prominent hospital in the Cleveland area, so he does all the contracting for my church.
I gave my blood and sweat for no pay at all. God forbid I even ask for a little food to feed my tired self when I get home. The rich kid always has the hardest life. My life is so bad. I'll go listen to Linkin Park now :p;):D Ok, inside joke. nevermind:) |
i'm going to assume that you're joking about rich kids having hard lives
i'm not poor, but dude, when i look at other kids in my area, own cars, more money than they know what to do w/, it drives me up the freakin wall |
Thanks for the post Phish. I dont like to admit this, but I have been kind of nasty towards my boys lately and your post got me thinking. I just went in their room, and luckily the 2 older ones were still awake. I gave them both big hugs and kisses and told them I love them very much, that I was sorry for the way I have been lately, that I will change my attitude, and that I am greatful they are my boys.
Enough of me. I know it is hard to talk to your parents, I had really rough communication skills with my mom when I was growing up. Have you triied writing her a note instead of talking to her? Maybe if she knew how you felt, she could sit down with you and figure out a little different plan. Being the oldest brings alot of extra responsibilities and expectations. Maybe she does not even realize how tough she is being on you. Have you triied talking to a school guidence councelor about this? That is what they are there for, however sometimes the "good kids" get caught in the shuffle. Know one thing, we are here for you. ~ Missy |

Keep in mind that Nintendo makes the carts and charges software manufacturers a premium for every cart they use (since they are the sole supplier of all the carts); that also artificially bumps prices. CD's are duplicatable, so sony cannot be the "sole supplier" of CD's. If nintendo was really concerned about lowering prices, they would lower their premium on every cart (Or now I should say "mini-CD")IMHO. The fact that they don't means they accept the current market equalibrium even with the present heated competition. And a side point- ive been meaning to say for awhile c2r that your avatar remains one of the classiest on the forums - you have my stamp of approval (if that means anything;) ) ;) |
Having to walk two miles into uni to work on my graphics program because for some reason it wont compile at home.

Awww :) Communication is really important with stuff like this, ecpecially because I don't get enough of it. :) Anyways, moving right along... So I got back my paper on Animal Farm by George Orwell. I did an excellent (IMO) commentary on comparing the views of George Orwell on WW2 and how he incorporated that into the chatarter of Napoleon the Pig [the leader]. My teacher obviously underestimated me, because when I got it back it was scribbled with notes saying how it's so not me and that she thought I copied it. The closest I got to copying was gethering the ideas of several reviewers and compiling them into a section summing up how I felt about the analogy. I put so much effort and pride into this and it comes back with a big C+ on it. Normally I don't mind Cs, they are, after all, average, but I spent days on this and wasn't about to let it go with that, along with my reputation being destroyed for that certain teacher. I'm not the greatest student in the world, so as soon as I start using big words and semicolons, she immediately starts profiling me as a cheater. That's the absolute #1 thing I do NOT want to be labled. I've always prided myself with being unique (god forbid:rolleyes:)and I've always dont things my own, special (IMAO :p) way of doing things. I'm not about to let go of that by doing my best on a paper. I hope a teacher out there sees this and considers it. Just because a student is not the best in the class, he/she can still put some work into something and come out with something exceptional. See this from a student's point of view. We don't have all that great lives, so missing the occasional homework assignment is perfectly normal with out hectic lifestyles. Please don't underestimate us, just because we've screwed up once or twice. Give us a chance. Thank you. |
I hate whoever decided that winXP should be such a fecking pain to network between win98 machines. The internet connection sharing is running ok-ish but browsing files on the network is sooooo slooow and rarely works.
Also I hate polygon scan conversion routines in c++, they're too bloody hard and I'm going to completly cock up this bit of uni. Also I still hate PHP. |
