Yes, that's very true - they know that they've "locked in" those people who've already bought a N64. Which is the point I was kind-of making - there's no real competition as there's no piracy. Of course they can argue for higher prices in order to recoup some of the high initial costs of writing the code for the game, just as you can argue that those who pirate the software weren't going to buy it in the first place. Of course none of this changes the fact that piracy is illegal...

Yeah, I definitely agree about the bastardization of English - (or txt slng usd by |33t kids). I choose not to read the tabliod press (most of it is so dire!)

I'm not sure about the movie ratings though... I was always allowed to watch whatever - like I saw the Terminator with my parents when I was about 11. I don't think it's made me a bad person - my parents brought me up with morals to the effect that violence and bad language is wrong, and that you should have respect for other people.

I think it's more to do with how parents bring up their kids - I've always thought my parents did a pretty good job with me and my syblings, but in there's some kids in the village where I live whose parents obviously have no control over them - they're only about 10-12 years old, and they have no respect for property (using short-cuts through peoples gardens), or people.
