i found out that you must go into your prfile and look WAY at the bottom and "un"check the thingy that says automatic email notification or sumtin...then the notifications will go away

Now, let me just say that I'm from the school of learning from history and past mistakes -- both one's own mistakes and other's (is every one listening, here?). So the occasionaly tweak of the tail (or spam in the mailbox) based on your past actions is completely in order.
