Winamp Pro -- License Not Working
I've had this problem for a long time, but my usual solution no longer works.
Basically my license is valid, I paid for it through Google Play. However, loading up Winamp doesn't load up Winamp Pro. What I used to do when this happened was to active Background Data, then find the Winamp Pro app that had been installed on my phone, and wait for it to say "Launch Winamp", and then it would launch into Pro. But that no longer works. What can I do to fix this and get the features back that I paid to have? |
Hi
Was it the in-app upgrade (aka Winamp Pro Bundle) or the separate Winamp Pro stub app from Google Play? Firstly, you need to be logged into the same google (gmail) account on the phone/device that you originally made the purchase with. You could try clearing the cache for the Winamp app. Go to: Android 4.x > Settings > Apps > Downloaded > Winamp (Android 2.x > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Winamp) and press "Clear cache". (Note, it’s "Clear cache" not "Clear data") If that fails, then uninstalling & reinstalling the app usually fixes this problem.... If the problem persists, please use the in-app Send Feedback option (via Settings) so we can then look up your order details... which should help us to resolve the issue... |
"Clear Cache" is greyed out. I bought the Winamp Pro stub separately once I realized I would need it to access the EQ. Do I need to uninstall Winamp Pro as well as Winamp, or only one or the other?
EDIT: Nevermind, reinstalling both seems to have fixed it. |
