Every now and then, when I click to Remove All from the playlist, it leaves behind one song.
I cannot seem to get it to reproduce when I want it to... If I remember correctly, the song left behind is the one playing, but I'm not certain. I have never had this happen in previous versions. Thankya! |

this is not a bug. If you are listening to a song it cannot be removed. I you stop the song and remove all songs, this situation will not happen.

I beg to differ
that is a bug
what the hell kind of feature is that? in the past I never had problems deleting all now, I too get this periodic hang I actually believe you that if I stop the playback of that track, it will remove properly. I happen to think the file should remove properly WHETHER OR NOT IT IS PLAYING This BUG needs to be fixed now |
this is NOT a bug. you cannot delete a file that is in use. you cannot move a file that's in use. you cannot rename a file that's in use. you cannot overwrite a file that's in use. basically, if a file is in use, the only thing you can do is open another copy with read-only privledges.
if you want "remove all" to remove all, stop playing the track. the file won't be in use anymore, and winamp will be able to delete it. |
Mr. Ice, I believe he was referring to removing the files from his playlist, not from his hard drive.
I concur that it is a bug. |
hmm... in that case, i don't have that bug in my version (2.71d) i just punched remove all while playing one of the songs in the list. the song kept playing, but the entire playlist emptied. i've never had the playing song left over in any version of winamp and that led me to believe he was trying to physically delete the files.

No sir, I was removing from my playlist.
And no, the I cannot reproduce the error. It seems to occur sporadically. (As I just tried it--winamp removed all from the playlist whilst one song played, no problem. Playlist contained 187 songs.) I'm not sure what the conditions that prompt the error are, but as soon as it happens again I will note what I can. I have not been on my computer much recently to use Winamp. [Also: I just tried it while playing a VBR file, still no error... just experimenting.] |
