Winamp (PC) not finding all music on my device
I'm using all "Pro" versions. I synched my library last night (all 12,000+ songs) and everything seems to play just fine on my phone. But, when I try to re-sync, the PC client tells me there are over 4,000 songs that are on my device but not in my library. They're obviously on my phone because I can play them. Does anyone have any idea what the heck is going on?

it's a recurring complaint / issue about the feature and is looking like it's down to how the desktop and the plug-in doing it is comparing things (which is mainly based on metadata) and that seemingly being different which leads to what you're seeing.
one thing based on another thread i saw earlier which seems to be the same thing, do the files which show as not on the device have punctuation / non-english characters in their titles / common metadata (like artist, album, etc) ? |
I suspected that as the culprit and, yes, the artist name was .38 Special (don't judge me). I deleted the period and tried again with the same results. There's something else going on here I think.

ok, that at least gives me a basis on something to look at. it might be a week or two before i can properly look at the issue (am a bit backlogged on other issues in my queue).
