WinAmp Plays back in only channel
I just Upgraded to the Latest Winamp for a previous Version I get playback in only one channel I been having this problem for sometime now. I thought installing the last one would fix the issue? Is there any way I can fix this so play back in Winamp I can here in both channels I have this with Videos radio and Music files. I tried other Media Players and they work fine and playback in both channels.

Hi JpopGirl,
Download, install, and run Koopa's Winamp Info Tool v.4.2 Beta (link below) with Winamp shutdown. Generate an extended report of your Winamp configuration and use the advanced reply editor to attach it to a post. http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=328932 |

Perfect... I can see in that report that you have accidentally knocked the BALANCE control to the right.
<<<<< Winamp Playback Settings >>>>> Volume: 100% Speaker Balance: 10% Right Playback Thread Priority: Highest (Default) I don't know the Skin you are using (AsukaAmp02.wsz) but somewhere on the screen will be a dial to adjust the balance in the speakers left to right. You need to twiddle that a bit to get it centred again. Edit: looking at what I think that skin is in the Skins Library I can't see the balance control in view. I do notice that you have installed a nice little collection of skins in your copy of Winamp. So my guess is that at least one of those skins will have the balance control visible for you so you can tweak the speakers back correctly. Probably quickest for you to select the default Classic Skin \ Winamp Classic skin and you'll find the Speaker Balance control is a little green bar in there. You can then pull the control back into the centre. Once set, go back to your favourite skin. |
 Thanks Very Much! Batter Pudding it did the trick I been trying to figure it out for the past year It fixed now I really appreciate your help Many Many Thanks and for taking time to help me <3 :)
And Thanks Aminifu for your help and time :) |
Yay!!! It is similar to one that catches me out. The volume control in Winamp is usually linked to the mouse wheel and I often find myself just aimlessly wobbling the wheel.... only to find I have managed to silence Winamp. :D [Before someone comments... yes, this can be unlinked... I realise that :p]
Skins can be great fun to swap around. I personally don't like that "all dominating" look of Bento, but sometimes the controls are not as clear as they could be in the custom skins. Call this "Tag Team Support"... Aminifu will still be waking up over on the other side of the pond. (Hi Aminifu...) |
I have to be care I guess? I had to change the skin to the Default skin I really don`t know about these Players Yes you can call that a tag team support I found help and the fix in less then 24 hrs Some skins are to read because of the color background and lettering Again thanks to you and Aminifu :) See you around on the forums

Certainly have fun with the skins. They are made by all kinds of people and not all of them include all features. Or some are just weird :D Especially the colouring as you note. So it is worth remembering that you can always switch to the default if you can't locate something.
There are lots of helpful people dotted around this forum. All kinds of odd ideas between us as we all use Winamp in subtly different ways. There is so much power hidden under the bonnet of Winamp when you start nosing. |
