Cannot connect to Shoutcast web frontend.
 

I've been trying to wrap my head around getting SHOUTCAST working on a subdomain of mine (slr.snarkysuccubus.com) and I just can't seem to do it.

I unzipped the shoutcast dnas files to the root of the subdomain, and tried to turn it on with a default config, before messing with it just so I can see that I can get it working.

This is the output from PUTTY while I enable Shoutcast.

I try to access it on http://slr.snarkysuccubus.com:8000 and http://snarkysuccubus.com:8001 but to no avail. I am hosting this on an external server (site5 hosted), and while they offer a script installation service I'd rather be able to learn and do it myself. As far as I can see, I can't find an explanation as to why this problem exists. I've edited out the username and IP for obvious reasons.

Any help would be appreciated. =]

first thing, use v2.2 (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=373139) instead of v2.0.

secondly, have you opened (or requested it be opened by your host) to at least port 8000 from the internet the host machine you're using?
