Memory buildup under Linux

I have a server running CENTOS5 and 4 Transcoders as AutoDJ's and One Shoutcast1 stream server.

The memory use rises to almost my limit and then drops to a low level and then rises again. This looks like a memory leak, but I cannot think one exists as it would have been spotted by now, and fixed long ago.

So is there a command I need to add to get it to dump used memory?

I only get this on one server, the rest all have a more or less constant memory load. Is there a Max memory used command?

if its due to the v1 DNAS then you're out of luck and there's no cleanup commands. not knowing the version of the transcoder builds being used, I doubt they'd be the cause either but who can say.

I assume you've looked at the running processes to see what us actually using the memory as maybe its something else on that setup which is causing the issue and isn't in the SC tools (just to throw that thought out there).
