Metadata problem when transconding a relay

Hi all,

I'm quite new to this forum, sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place.
I've been searching a bit before to post and I didn't really find a solution to my problem, so maybe some of you can help me.

The scenario is a main server with an HQ stream and a server with a LQ stream.
In order to avoid bandwidth problems I though to generate the LQ stream by transcoding the High Quality one directly on the server.
I've tried many different configurations and versions of DNAS (1.9.8 and 2.0) but nothing changes.
The upload stream originated from my PC in AAC+ 96kb goes to HQ Server (right now 1.9.8), then sc_trans is configured to relay the stream, convert it to MP3 96kb and sends it to server2 (right now DNAS 2.0). Transcoder is TRANSCast/posix(linux x64) v2.0.0.54.
OS: Linux Opensuse.
The audio is ok, the metadatas are ok ONLY on the first server... and i can't really figure out how to fix them:

Example:
server 1 (HQ): CHICANE - SALTWATER
server 2 (LQ): CHICANE%20%2D%20SALTWATER

Please, can somebody point me in the right direction? :)

thanks A LOT in advance.
Flavio

first thing would be to try updating to v2.2 of the DNAS (see discussion forum for a download)if I'm reading it correctly that the low quality stream is using v2.0.

Yes it's correct, but I have the same problem also if I use 1.9.8 as Low Quality stream.
I'm going to download 2.2 and have a try ;)

I'll post news soon!

thanks for now

its most likely sc_trans at fault but as there isn't a sc_trans update at the moment, trying v2.2 is the best starting point. though from what I remember having fixed with sc_trans internally a while back, an update of that may resolve the issue (though I'm not 100% certain).

Tried out DNAS2.2 but the problem is still there:
SNAP%20%2D%20MARY%20HAD%20A%20LITTLE%20BOY%20%2090

I think it's in the sc_trans rather than in sc_serv...

Is there an sc_trans v2.2?

nope, there might be an update coming but is not guaranteed.

oh i see!

hmmm any third party transcoder for linux i you would reccomend (while waiting for the new sc_trans) ? ;)
