Winamp Reporting Back AOL
Can someone help me When Winamp crashes it launches MY AOL Program and wants to send an Email to AOL with the Report of the Crash. Is there anyway I can disable this since AOL is no longer Owns Winamp
Thanks Very much! |
Hi
It shouldn't be sending the report to AOL. It sends it to an email address @winamp.com I guess it's opening in AOL Mail because that's your system's default email handler? Anyway, you can disable it by going to: Winamp > Prefs (Ctrl+P) > Error Feedback (which is at the bottom of the Prefs tree in Winamp 5.666) and uncheck "Send Data". Though ideally, we could do with seeing all crash logs... unless the crash is caused by some 3rd-party plugin, in which case we would recommend looking for an updated version of the plugin, and if one doesn't exist, then to remove said plugin. Also, if you're using Winamp 5.666 build 3516 (the latest version), make sure you've also installed the update patches from: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....373755#updates |
that's a bit ironic its opening that program.
if you don't like what its doing then please attach a copy of your crash report to this thread. |
