Modifying XML files
Greetings folks, what's the best way to intelligently modify an existing XML file? This thread on stackoverflow mentions a few plug-ins but they don't appear to be maintained very well (no updates in the past two years). Some of them mention problems that seem pretty critical, like issues with certain versions of Windows or memory leaks, so I'd like to get recommendation on what would be the best option.

Which memory leaks are you talking about?
If there is a problem with a current version of a plugin then you should do one or more of: * Write on the comment page for that plugin on the wiki * Write in thread for that plugin here on the forum * Contact the author |
A memory leak issue was discussed as an unresolved matter on one of the XML plug-ins, but it didn't appear to be addressed. I don't know any specifics about its severity, but just had the impression that the plugin may not be stable. I'm looking for a recommendation on which XML plug-in to pursue. Which of the available ones would be least problematic?

Is it so hard to provide a link to the discussion you keep referencing? Is it http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Talk:Nsi...)#Memory_leaks ? because that was fixed in 2011 by the author...
You have not said anything about your requirements so it is hard to recommend one even for people that know these plugins (I am not one of them). |
