Well.. I've never tried to do anything in the world of Winamp skinning before - I can't draw worth crap. :)

Here you can see a screenshot of me and my Winamp. ;)

I really like the skin, but want to try and change the colors to better suit my LiteStep theme and the rest of my desktop. I was thinking of just changing all of the blue to a more grayish/white color.. Opened up the main bitmap in paint and noticed immediately that I couldn't just use the paintcan (fill with color) feature to replace all the blue.. there're all these seperate thingies.. in all the bmps (which I'm sure you all know about).

Basically, I'm asking if there's any tool - any easy way - for me to accomplish what I want.

.......?

:D

Hi Flynnz :) I just want to be sure, are you talking about changing the LCD screen type areas around volume and balance and the spectrum analyzer?

Hmmmm....since you're using MSPaint, I would think it would be easier to use the spraypaint or just the paintbrush.

Or you could download the free trial versions of Paint Shop Pro
or Photoshop. There's also a free program called Gimp. I'm not sure about Gimp, but I know with the other 2 you can use the flood fill tool and adjust the tolerance level. Or use the color replacer tool.

Or easier yet, if you know the RGB or html color codes for the colors you want, post them here, and I bet some nice skinner would come by and do it for you :D

Yaaaay for Jayn!

I see - so there's not really any program that will change this for me; I just have to draw it myself. Darn. Oh well. ;)

Thanks for replying... :D

Jayn is right about MSPaint. There is no way to change the texture without making it one solid color. If you were to use Photoshop however, there is a tool called the Magic Wand Tool that will allow you to select all of one certain color. So you could click on the gray and it will select all the gray. You can then change all of that one color. Then do each different shade to get the combo you want. Good luck.
