.wsz are zip files. You can double click the file and it should install the skin and be displayed by Winamp.

Otherwise rename them to zip files and extract or copy the file to your skins directory. (usually c:\program files\Winamp\skins)

Here is more about .wsz files.

Don't think you have to worry about the extension - whether it's zip or wsz. Just move them to the Winamp Skins folder, then open them in Winamp under Preferences\Skins. The path to the Skins folder is usually C:\ProgramFiles\Winamp\Skins.

Also, do you have a directory in Windows called: Windows\Temp\_wasktemp ?

This is the folder that Winamp uses to temporarily decompress skin files. The contents are automatically deleted when you exit Winamp. If this folder doesn't exist or has been deleted then you won't be able to download .wsz skins correctly, instead when you click on the download link, right click instead and 'Save Target As' so you can specify to download the skin into the Skins folder.

Hey Jayn,

I never knew that! Guess I'll have to keep reading these forums, so that I can keep getting smarter (or, at least, better informed).

I've got a feeling that Winamp is smart enough to create that folder... Because, every now and then, I've deleted all the files and folders in the Windows\Temp\ directory, but that "Skins" folder has reappeared for me following a skins download. Could this be?
