I've had installed winamp. Suddenly winamp is not working. So I got the new version 272 but it isn't possible to install it. Even 271 refuses.
The installation starts, I answer the questions and the system seems working. But at the end there is no entry in the startmenu, no icon on the desktop and clicking on the winamp.exe icon in the winamp directory has no effect.

I even cannot install netmeeting which was running before. It stops at audio-setup.

Everything else works fine. I don't know what is wrong.

Sounds like your audio drivers might need reinstalled. Do any of your system sounds work, or other audio players? Try rebooting if you haven't, that fixes those problems a lot of times. Basically find out if your system has ANY audio at all.
