error creating uninstaller
 

recently, we rebranded a product and started getting an error on the makeuninstaller.exe that creates our standalone uninstall program. We do it this way, so it can be digitally signed and included in the main install program. I am attaching a screen capture of the error. It simply states

"Error creating: C\Program File\Help Systems\uninstAutomateAgent.exe"
Completed

The error occurs when trying the execute makeuninstaller.exe using wine. Would this appear to be a write issue to you; i.e. path or permissions as the problem?

Why does the NSIS branding say 2011, is it really that old?

Try it on a Windows machine...

thanks for the reply, our build specialist resolved this issue which apparently was a permissions issue after all with one of the folders in the path. Also, a wine registry entry had to be created as well later, but the initial write problem was fixed with a chmod.
