I recently submitted my first skin to winamp.com. (Mine Amp, found here - http://www.winamp.com/customize/deta...ponentId=42703 )

While it is certainly no five star effort, it is definately not the black blob the screenshot shows it to be. Only main.bmp shows up, everything else is black. But if you download it, you'll see all the other bitmaps as I created them. The only thing I could think of is that to save space I saved most of the bmps with 16 color/4 bit color depth instead of 256 color/8 bit. Is that OK?

It appears to have gotten a zero star rating, maybe it deserves a one or even a two. :)

There's no rating for your skin because it hasn't actually been published yet, once it's published it'll have a rating :)

As for the screenshot....it's nothing you did wrong. Winamp is having problems with their screenshot taker, you're not the first one to have this problem. Admin is aware and hopefully will get this fixed soon :)

Cool, thanks for the information.

But here's another question. How do you know the skin is unpublished? There's a link to it, I can search for "minesweeper" and get it as a result, and it's listed under the "published" section when I log into my personal profile area or whatever it's called :)

I'm sorry redbird...you can find it with the search engine. I don't know why it has no rating, maybe they are getting ready to switch over to the public reviews system.

It used to be skins had no rating until they were published. I can check with Admin and find out for sure what is going on if you like. :)
