Go to 'Misc' (in the playlist) and choose 'Options'. Then choose 'Generate HTML-playlist'. Or use the Ctrl-Alt-G key.

Your browser openen now, and you see the playlist.

NOW YOU CAN:
1. Select all songs and choose Ctrl-C.
Go to Microsoft Word or Wordpad and choose Ctrl-V.

2. Click right on 'Save HTML-playlist' and save it
(C:\Playlist.html)
Go to Microsoft Excel, and choose open, c:\playlist.html.

3. Open it in Microsoft Access: follow stap 2, choose in
Access open, and convert it.

4. Edit the HTML-playlist.

5. Print the playlist

It doesn't matter to me how many times his procedure gets posted. What matters to me is that I STILL cannot follow it! Must be all those years of sniffin are finally catchin up to me! :confused:

... or you could just use a 3rd party playlist generator to export it in text format, open and parse in Excel, and edit and print to your liking... :)

bjay125- Thanks for the advice. I'm studying up on the use of ShufflePlay 2.63 at the moment. Hopefully that will provide some easy to understand directions regarding the management and listing of all these damn mp3 files. If not, I'll post back and inquire once again about Martin's procedure using Microsoft's Excel. Again, thanks for the suggestion. :confused:

Specifically, once you have opened c:\playlist.html in Microsoft Excel, then what does step 3 tell me to open? What is the "it" that is to be opened in Microsoft Access and then "converted"? And converted to what?

Extra information, PRINT YOUR PLAYLIST
 

It’s a serious problem; how to print the playlist. It doesn’t matter how much the answer is posted or on how much different topics, the problem is how much the question is posted. And that’s a lot. I hope to help people with this detailed answer on the question “How to print the playlist”, without plug-ins, or other extra program’s, just on the way Nullsoft want to, print via a HTML list. But lots of people have Microsoft Office (or one program like MS Word or Excel), so why don’t use that program’s?
Note 1: Maybe you have seen this answer; think of the people who don’t have seen it and don’t give reply’s like “This answer is already posted” of something like that. THANKS.
Note 2: Because my English is not very good (I am Dutch) I could make Spelling- and Grammar-mistakes, please take it easy, if you understand what I write we don’t make a problem with that.
Note 3:: If you have non-answered questions about this, reply this post, hopefully I can help you.

So what to do:
Make WinAmp active and put the songs you want to print in your playlist. Then use the shortkey CTRL-ALT-G, or go to “Misc.”, “Options”, “Generate HTML-playlist”. (It can be translated if you have a language-pack installed, follow then the shortkey).
Your browser, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Browser, Opera, of something like that, let you see your playlist. First you see “WinAmp Playlist”, then you see some information and the text “Right click here to save this HTML-file”. Now what to do?
If you are happy with the result of this action, print the playlist. Go to File and click on Print. If you only want to save it, click with right on “here” and type a location like “c:\playlist.februari.2001.html”.
The advanced user can import it into Microsoft Word. Click on File, Open and open the playlist you’ve saved. Or you can select the songs, choose CTRL-C, go to MS Word, and choose CTRL-V.
If you want to make a MS Excel playlist (what gives you a better result), go to File, Open, and open the HTML-playlist (don’t forget to save it first, with the right click on “here”). You see now many rows and 1 column with information. Edit this file, you can delete the text “Html-playlist” for example, and select songs and put them in the follow column, so you can try to get a short playlist (±130 songs) on 1 paper. But you can even number the songs to insert a column before the column with the songs and give them a number.
It’s not possible to get Time-information, only the average-time is available.
If you have Microsoft Access you can make a table in Excel and import it in Access. But first make a good table with a column head and not to much entry’s (if you have a playlist with more than 1000 songs, I think you can forget it).

If you don’t have Microsoft Office, no panic! You can use the free editor from Microsoft Windows. Use Write.exe in c:\windows\write.exe, to open the program. Use this if you have selected the songs you want to print or save, copy with CTRL-C, and put them in WordPad with CTRL-V.

If you have a HTML-editor like Microsoft FrontPage or Netscape Composer, open the HTML-file in that program.

AND NOW A GOOD TIP FOR THE NEWBIES:

Open Microsoft Notepad, (c:\windows\notepad.exe), go to File, go to open, and type the location you’ve saved the playlist (C:\playlist.html, for example). Now deleted some text on the first rules, and than you see a nice overview of all songs you have save by CTRL-ALT-G. You can select them, copy, print, save, manage, etc. A simply way with a simple program.
