ok i have got the whole transperency thing down pretty good (not mastered but good) and i can skin cursors (easy) but i cant figure out how to do that lil thing with the darn buttons yall have some fancy arse buttons like a transperency type of thing going on with them (i have no ther idea how to describe it) if that sounds stupid and doesnt help you understand what im talkin about (it sound perfect in my head) then just call me wanda and knock me over with a wet noodle and (tell me too) and ill try to figure out another way to explain it THANX YALL

I think what you are referring to are buttons that dont have rectangular shapes- instead being round/slanted etc etc.

Basically, the shape of the button hasnt changed- the shape of the button bmps doesnt change either. It is actually an "illusion". In the button bmp parts of the background are included; if that does not make sense then take any skin with buttons that have this effect and look at the bmps. Once you see it the idea in practice it should become fairly simple.
