=====================================

O.k. I skinned the mikroamp. But I can't get it to load. I put it in my skin folder. And in the main directory. But I can't get it load. Where does it go?

=====================================

Also I want to make The html file for my new skin. Mind if I use your redirect script Mr Jones? I looked at the one in Jeri ryan back to the wall. Looks like all I would have to do is change the url.
Where does this file go? Is there anything special that I need to do with it..

:DThanks guys:D

First up, most common mistake with the mikroamp, is what have you called the bitmap?, a lot of people call it mikroamp.bmp, just call it mikro.bmp and add it to your main zip archive, let winamp do the rest.

If youve added the skin to the archive while u have the skin running, and then change the skin to refresh it, then it won't load, you have to change to another skin, then back again. This dosnt effect it when winamp is started from fresh.

Regards the html file, yes please use the re-direct script , its only checking to see what browsers are on a users system , guess gonna have to change that now with the arrival of opera on my system, anyhow, just save the file as winampmb.txt NOT winampmb.html. If you don't save as a .txt file winamp wont extract it when you change skins. Again, add this .txt file to the main archive

Don't forget that if you start winamp from fresh and you are connected to the web then you will get THEMikes homepage, a simple skin change will bring up your html page.

Hope this answers your questions, any more just ask or mail me direct.

Back to the day job :)

Thanks Mr Jones. :D

Thats the problem with the Mikroamp skin. Need to change the name.

Now with the html file. Does it mean that only people who have mikroamp installed can see the page I create. Is that the only way it works. And that they will have to switch skins to make it work?

Yep, as far as im aware MikroAMP is the only way to skin the inside of the MB, if you dont use it, you don't see it, and yes to the second question they would have to skin swith to see your work.

as follows
Start skin is say, jeri ryan back to wall, MB shows mikesmikropage
Swap skin to pixels new skin, MB shows pixels work
Switch back to BTTW, now shows Mr J's work
etc etc.
