I've been using skins for a while now & would like to learn how to make some skins of my own. Does anyone have any insight for me? I know I'm a rooky, but have played around with makeing some animated logos or just plain ones... here's my latest: http://ie.yimg.com/e/7a54eb15/h/fbf4...tion1globe.gif I got my image from "Click Art Infinity" & a friend helped me with the animation. I have some good programs to work with art... so I guess I just need some basic help. Do I need to copy a skin & change it?

Hi Debra! Welcome to the Skin Love Forum! :)

To make a skin, you need a graphics program of some type, MS Paint will work,
but you can also download free trial versions of Paint Shop Pro
and Photoshop. There's also a free program called Gimp.

You also need a zipping program such as Winzip.

Then go to:
The Developer Tab here at Winamp
or
WSD Skins
or
Skin Master
All three places have excellent tutorials to learn how to make skins :)

Also you will need to download the base skin into your C:\Program Files\Winamp\Skins folder.

Also if you are going to skin the cursors...you'll need a cursor editor....MicroAngelo is a good editor and there is a free trial version of it that you can download.
