No- I don't. But alcohol is something that has been "imbibed" for centuries. There is a deep demand that is a permanent feature of all cultures of the world for alcohol as a result of it being a traditional part of humanity since the beginning of civiliazation (the egyptians even made ales...)

The same is similar with tobacco- centuries of tradition.

PERSONALLY i detest both of the above things; and I wish niether
existed. Because they both contribute to the corruption and degradation of society and its mores.

I know what you are trying to get at- something along the line of alcohol and mj both being intoxicating, addictive etc etc.

Mj is not a classic tradition. Yet. It hasn't been around too long with a very large exposure to all society in vast quantities at low prices. As long as it is illegal, it will prevent the product from achieving the ease of distribution that alcohol/cigs have- at every convienience and grocery store - cheap, easy to buy without a thought.

At the same time, the police are not really able in their current position able to combat all of MJ import and production. So, at the current rate, MJ will be made legal as it gets a following, as it becomes more pervasive and more and more people grow up with it. It is just not at that acceptance level yet to be "over the counter" But it will be.

Personally, I believe I know how to prevent MJ from becoming as natural american tradition as baseball. But thats another long post...

Perhaps nicotine isn't the most harmful substance in cigs, it IS the substance that causes the addiction to cigs.

One of the reasons comercial cigs are so bad for you is becuase they take the other parts of the plant(stem, base, etc.) And grind them to make it look like a leaf. That stuff has none of the stuff you get from just the leaf so it's just like sucking on a large peice of paper that has a flame on the end. That is part of the reason self rolled, all leaf, cigs are the best to smoke if you are going too... plus they also taste and smell much better... :)

How can people really say drugs suck if they have never tried them? They have no idea what the heel they are talking about. It's much like Bush in the cop killer controversy with Body Count.

F.O.D. its because those people have seen the effects of drugs on close family members or other people and do not want the same to happen to themselves. Its the same reason I know not to jump off the Brooklyn Bridge- I know the result of what will happen, just as I know what will happen if I use drugs.

Although I must say with recent events in my life the Brooklyn Bridge becomes more and more tempting... :(

Actuilly, I know someone who jumped off of that bridge... He said it was the most fun he has ever had. :D But the water was a little too cold :p

I just dont do drugs. oh, except the odd beer...but thet is only 4/5%ABV, not really gonna get the same effect as XTC. I mean why waste shiteloads of cash on really fuck*n your body up?? cos ultimately it is gonna kill you. I had a friend who OD'd on XTC, got him to a hospital, he is still alive, but only just, he has major problems walking and talking.
