Hi, new here, tried search but nothing appeared. I've downloaded several MP3's and of course they're recorded all at different volume levels. I was wondering if there is a feature in Winamp that can play all MP3's at the same volume? If not I guess it should be put in the wishlist forum. Thanks

But you have to pay for it...
Is there any solution out there that is freeware? I have been looking for a long time for this. I hate having to nearly fly to the speaker at work when a super loud song comes on to turn down the volume. --jeff lee |
The EQ Auto on might help. (Also turn the EQ ON). Use this in conjunction with the Autoload Preset. You can adjust volume levels on each track with the DB slider at the left of the EQ. Then, if the track is adjusted, click on Presets, and Save->AutoLoad Presets, and save it for that track.

Use the disk-writer plugin on winamp to decode the songs to .wav, then normalize the .wav's using audiograbber (http://www.audiograbber.com*********/). It's not freeware, but the only thing missing in the shareware version is being able to copy all tracks straight from CD at once. After normalizing those .wav's, reencode them to mp3 using its encoding function.
I know that sounds like a long process but that's what I do with all my music I get off of places like napster, etc. |
