Cant update fallback file

Hello,
I've now uploaded my new fallback file twice, but it is still playing the old one.
Shouldn't it automatically replace the old one?
I've downloaded it and its the new one. So why is it playing the old one?

Thanks.

which version of DNAS?

have you restarted DNAS?

lukej 26th August 2017 10:19

I never used DNAS.
This is for SHOUTcast Streaming Service.
I always went to rmo.shoutcast.com and used the fallback file. I don't know what DNAS is, what version it is, or how to reset it. Is that necessary?

jaromanda 27th August 2017 02:50

right ... DNAS is the core of shoutcast audio - Distributed Network Audio Server - given you are using rmo.shoutcast.com I'm guessing

a) it would be the latest version; and
b) it would not require restarting when updating the fallback file, because it's 2017, not 1997 :p

Ok, you've answered your own questions!
Could you now help me, please?

dopelabs 27th August 2017 23:00

is the filename the same as the old? if it is try renaming the file to something different and trying again.

lukej 28th August 2017 01:44

shoutcast renames the file.
But, I tried it anyway, and it's exactly the same.

lukej 29th August 2017 21:14

Oh, it's just updated it! Finally!

lukej 3rd September 2017 20:34

I cant believe it!
I has now gone back to the previous file!
It played the new file for about a week, and now is playing the old file again!

lukej 6th September 2017 14:01

Can the service provider help?
Or should I assume that my broadcast is being deliberately sabotaged?

dopelabs 7th September 2017 09:10

this thread should be moved to

SHOUTcast Streaming Service & Monetization
http://forums.winamp.com/forumdisplay.php?f=180

do you have any other type of control panel that your using, maybe an autodj or some other service? maybe something is configured somewhere to use that file and its updating back to the old after your manual update.

or its just a bug. the strange thing is i dont think there has been any other reports of it so far. maybe there is, i have yet to 'use the search'.

have you restarted your browser/computer/clear dns caches/clear browser caches/update browsers to their latest version/install any available system updates?

lukej 8th September 2017 00:48

Absolutely no other software being used. I access it through rmo.shoutcast.com .
If it is configured to revert back to the old file, I'd appreciate it if the operators of shoutcast could tell me, and how to fix it.

lukej 9th September 2017 23:16

Now its back to the new one! Let's see how long it stays there!

lukej 13th September 2017 00:11

Unbelievable.
Just went back to the old file again!

dopelabs 13th September 2017 10:29

change your password.. see if it still happens after that.
