Station not working

Hi,

I've tried searching for this problem but am unable to find it. Perhaps I've overlooked it. If so, kindly direct me to the appropriate thread and I'll take another look :)

Anyhow. I've been trying to set up my webradio but for some reason I don't hear anything.
My server is running, according to the statistics in my Shoutout account it's working but whenever I click the link it doesn't work. Server doesn't show any error either.

I've tried Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Edge does work on my computer (which is also serving the music), the other browsers don't. I've also had several others try without success. I've no idea why Edge does work and the rest doesn't. I've also tried my mobile while on the same network and without WiFi but nothing.
Everyone says they don't hear a thing.
In my log I see them connecting and disconnecting after about 50 seconds. This seems to be a timeout or something.

I don't intend to keep the server up for a long time but to get some help on this I guess it's kinda needed :) I hope you guys can help out with the info provided. If not, please let me know what you need.

Thanks in advance for any help provided!

Hi,

when I click the search I can't find your station. Are you sure that you inserted your Authhash in server admin or sc_serv.conf?
Which encoder you use? MP3, MPEG-2, MPEG-4?

And you using latest DNAS version (2.5.5)?

It's because I was offline. If you search for it now, it show does up.
I'm using ADTS-AAC Encoder in Winamp/DSP.
DNAS version is 2.5.5.733, the latest version available afaik

After browsing through the logfiles I noticed an error.
WARN [CONFIG] Ignoring Streampath_1=http://listen.shoutcast.com/love4k-pop as this will produce an invalid path

Don't know why that's wrong though, or if it's wrong or a problem at all. I can't find anything related to why this should be a problem.
Still, could this pose a/the problem? If so, how do I fix it?

Hi.

The stream path is incorrect in your configuration.

Try a relative mountpoint (love4k-pop) and see if it gets parsed correctly.

Assuming it throws no warning, the absolute stream path (where your listeners get directed to) will be http://yourserver:yourport/love4k-pop

Hope it helps,
Keijo!

Thanks for your help :)

I changed the sc_serv.conf to show streampath_1=love4k-pop and I no longer see an error in the logfile.
However, when I go to http://myIP:myport/love4k-pop in Chrome it starts downloading, Edge is the same. It doesn't play.
When I go to http://listen.shoutcast.com/love4k-pop I do get music, but it's not the music I'm playing. I've let it play for 5 minutes and still had the same. After reopening the page 20 minutes later, I still don't hear my music.

In WinAmp, under the Output>Directory tab, the URL given is http://listen.shoutcast.com/love4k-pop. Is that correct?

As a sidenote: I used to be able to see the currently playing and next song titles both in the sc_serv.exe logfile and in the admin page in my browser. Now it's not displaying anymore. Don't know if that's worth mentioning but I'd might as well post that too :)

I managed to fix things :)
In the end all I needed to do, apparently, was switch the encoder. I used the AAC encoder before. Switching it to MP3 made it available for others to listen to and also restored the artist + songtitle.
Thanks for those who helped :)
