OK, someone please help me. I brought a cd writer about 12 months ago and i finally got it to work on my dads computer today thanks to your FAQ on decoding .WAV files. Anyway, i now have another problem. The cd's that i burnt today (off Napster)work on my sterio at home but not in my car (where i really want it to work!!). They don't even seem to read on the car sterio at all. Why is this?. Could it be that Napster songs are of low/poor sound quality and the cd simply isn't picking them up properly or is it because i'm buying the wrong cd?.
For example.... the one cd that actually works in my car wasn't downloaded off Napster, it was on another offical band site, but it was recorded on a CD-R Pro (650 mb) - this works fine, however i brought loads of other cd's which are CD-RW Pro (700 mb) - these are the ones that won't work in the car and struggle on the home stereo.

Simply - how do i get this damn thing to work in my car stereo?, is it Napster?, is it the cd's i brought? or is it 'cos i'm a bit thick? - Please help me, many thanks, Adrian

Steros HATE CD-RWs. They are written diffrently then regular CDs and CR-Rs, really the only things that can play them are other CD-RW drives, and SOME very newstero systems.

The only things that can really read CD-RW's are CD-burner drives, DVD-ROM drives, specially made CD-RW readers, and DVD players.

If you want to burn CD's for use on all stereos, there's only one kind you should really get... the kind of CD-R that is dark blue/green on the recording surface. Among the brand names that make these are Maxell, Sony and TDK.
