Hi,
I am finding that the standard EQ is not working when I play a CD. MP3s etc all work fine... All VIS etc work from the CD. I am using default settings from install.. Help! Any ideas? Steve |
You need the CD Reader plugin. http://www.url*****~copah/CDReader.htm
This will allow you to use the EQ with CD's. |
Now it skips!
Thanks... But....
I have had this problem before with the CDReader plug, My soundcard appears to wear it's pants on it's head, and I have skipping like nobody's business. I have posted messages about this skipping here before, and I did not resolve it.. And the concensus agreed I have a rather poor sound card. Bugger it! |
Do you have an older system?
Stats? How bad does it skip? Did you uncrease the buffer in waveOut? (references > Plug-ins > Output > Nullsoft waveOut.. > Configure) |
Stats etc..
Cheers for the reply sawg..
I have been through these problems before with the CDReader plug - And never resolved them.. But here are my stats: NT4 SP6a PIII 600mhz, 512meg Ram Diamond Multimedia Monster II sound card(With latest drivers) Winamp 2.74 I have tried changing the configuration - I get ranges of effects from my PC hanging to slightly less jitters. I never managed to get rid of them completely. Say for instance I am listeneing to a CD whilst working, I would say it 'skips' every 10 secs or so, but as soon as I make the PC do something else.. Forget it! Out IT dept here reckon it is a PANTS sound card, so I guess I am off to the hardware store! Cheers, Steve |
