hi
when i do something to a track whilst its playing everythings ok but when i go to play the track again it reverts back towhat it was like originally |
Make sure that that track is not read-only. In windows explorer (My Computer) find and right click on it and select Properties. Make sure Read-Only is NOT selected.
|
Could also be that files in the Winamp dir are Read-Only
eg. Winamp.ini Winamp.exe Winamp.m3u etc Make sure no files in here are R-O, including the dir itself. Also check subdir's too. btw 1. What changes are you making exactly? Altering Audio & EQ levels, or editing ID3 tags, or something else? 2. Nice name :D Did ya know that David Soul (the Starsky & Hutch dude) has got a brother called Richard (R. Soul) |
hi ive checked the dir's and all the files ive converted and noe show up as R-O, also when i convert my files to .wav they arent recordable to CD
Any ideas? [Edited by R-sole on 04-28-2001 at 10:38 AM] |
Can you give us a more exact description of exactly what you are trying to do, and what happens as a result??

im trying to edit my music files with the equalizer and simple stuff like that, also when ive edited my files i want to save them to CD with easy CD creator but it says that the .wav files i have converted them into are not good enough to write to CD with

Doh! :D
You need to save the EQ presets for each individual file. This has got nothing to do with the actual mp3's. The data isn't stored in them, but works automatically c/o the winamp.q1 & q2 files (saved EQ presets). This actual process is known as "Normalizing" More info c/o TSGH -> Useful Links thread: RE: Using EQ Presets function to fix varying volume levels [normalising] http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=31613 http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=31757 There's even a seperate entry in TSGH: (which also contains links to the above 2 threads) http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=45292 Regarding your other problem (WAV output format): This means that the original MP3's aren't encoded @ 44.1KHz, 16-bit, stereo PCM Format. This is the standard CD-Quality format. There's a fair few ways around this; check TSGH for more info: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=35632 Particularly read the 2 posts by Winsane further down the page. |
i know uve given me all these threads to check but i still cant find how to play a track and make it fade out at a certain point and get it to save like that whilst leaving as an MP3
