It would be a major breakthrough if you guys added support for plugins made in Java for Winamp 3. There are so many people willing to make plugins for Winamp with Java. Plus, it will work on both the Windows and Mac version of Winamp without making a second copy. Much easier than making it in traditional C++ or C. You could add another version of Winamp that supports Java plugins (since it will be a bigger download).

Java sucks .... too hard to use for no computer people; and very too slow to initialize : it's agianst winamp who is very rapidily on :D. the wa3a6 not yet :(

Full-fledged Java plugin support would be a nice touch. It is really slow to start up, though, but it could be worth it, I suppose.
y the way, if you've used a Java app that was difficult to use, that is the fault of the programmer. Java can be written to be easy to use. It has great support for writing Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) in either normal windows or with XML. |
